Principal's Message

Dear Chippewa Middle School parents and students:

As Principal of Chippewa Middle School, it has been my sincere pleasure and honor to be a member of this great school community.  Entering into my fifth year, I  am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible educational program for our students.

Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Chippewa by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We will focus on character education initiatives, 21st Century skills, fostering a nurturing safe environment for children, use of data to inform instruction, consistent implementation of newly adopted instruction strategies to increase students’ achievement, and providing exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities for all students.

Chippewa Local Schools is a place where children come first and staff members are committed to providing meaningful, engaging work for the students. Our goal is for every child to be successful.  Please feel free to contact me at the school with any concerns or questions that you may have at any time during the school year.

* School hours are 7:25 - 2:20. Students must be in homeroom for attendance by 7:25.

* The building will open at 7:00 a.m. for students to begin arriving.

* If you are picking your child up from school, please plan to arrive after 2:30. This will allow buses time to leave the parking area before cars begin to arrive. Safety is important to all of us.

If you have questions or concerns, be sure to call or email your child's teachers. If Mrs. Zollinger or I can be of help, please feel free to contact us.

Have a great year!

Mr. Steve Watkins
